How do I perfrom a quick search for other members?
From the main menu, go to Search,
and click on Quick icon.
It will help you find other members by using basic parameters like age, country and what sort of person they are looking for.
Only the gender, age, country and type of relation are the available attributes within the "quick search"
Can I be more specific in my search?
From the main menu, go to the Search and click
on the Advanced icon.
Looking for someone who has blue eyes, who is athletic, religious,AND is college graduate,
but divorced? Advanced search form page that allows you to look for very specific attributes like
the race, (and/or) marital status, (and/or) religion, (and/or) body decoration, (and/or)
lifestyle, (and/or)...
You can choose as many attributes as you like. However the more you ask for, the
less results you will get.
What if I am looking for a specific member?
Looking for someone in particular? Not sure about the username?
Simply enter all or part of the name youre looking for, press Search and leave the rest to us .
Go to the Search menu and then click on
User Search .This search will help you find the
profile of any given username just by entering the full username or part of it..
How will I get the search results?
Search results can be shown either in detailed mode,
or in quick mode. Detailed mode will show you less results per page. On the end of every
search form, you have the choice between the "Detailed mode" and the
"quick result" mode.
What is the detailed search result mode?
Detailed mode will show you major details about the
members, but showing less results per page.It will show you:
1- the members gender.
2- their ethnicity,
3- country of origin,
4- their age,
5- what they are looking for,
6- their online status,
7- their ad title.
What is the quick search result mode?
Quick mode results will show you a brief overview
about the members, with more results per page:
1- what the members are looking for,
2- Their ages,
3- Country
4- Their online status.
How do I check the profiles that appear in the results?
Once you get the search results, you can either click on the
" username" link or on the photo of the
member (available or not) . This will open the member's profile page where you can have
a view on all the details he/she posted in their webpage.
Can I check who has viewed my profile lately?
Search menu click on "
Spy on them" this will list you all the profile
that viewed your profile within the last 72 hours.
Can I contact the members through the result page?
Search results Yes. You don't need to go to the
member's profile page to contact a member.
The search result page shows you the
icon that allows you to send a quick message or even a picture message .

How do I receive messages from other members?
Messages you received are stored in your messages inbox. Go to the
Mailbox, and click on the "
Inbox" .
Messages are sorted according to your choice: by read/unread (default),
or date received.
You can view the member's username who sent you the message, as well as the date when
the message was sent, and the subject line.
If any attachment(s) is (are) sent with the message the
will
show next to the message.
Your Inbox capacity is limited. Always keep an eye on your capacity percentage bar to keep
your inbox from being full. If that happens, you will no longer be able to receive messages
from other member until you free up some space.
You are offered to Delete messages, block recipient or save selected messages.
How do I send messages to other members?
You can send message to other members through the search results page by clicking
on the
or through the member's profile page using the input message box on the right of the
page.
How can I know if the recipient read my message?
Prior to sending your message, check the "Notify
me when read" button to receive a confirmation message once the
recipient read the message.
Can all members message me?
Yes all members can message you, unless they are on your
block list. To block users from sending you messages, simply click on the
button.
By clicking on the button, a pop up message will open to confirm your action.
You can enter a "reason" why you are blocking the user.
Is is useful in case you forgot why you blocked him/her.
How can I view and control my blocked users list?
You can have full control over your block list. Go to the
Contacts menu from the Main menu and click on
Block.
You will have a list of all users with the options to unblock selected ones.
I got a message, but I don't like the sender's profile
In that case, use the
button.
This will send the members the following automated free message : "Thanks for
taking time to send me a message, I have checked your profile, and although it is nice,
but I don't think we will match. I wish you good luck in your search.
"This is a free message and will not count toward your allowance messages.
What if I receive a harrassement message?
If you receive a message from someone who is bothering you, or you think it is harrassement,
threatening or undecent, simply click on the
and keep the rest on us. Our main concern is your protection and keeping MeetStrangers.com
a safe community. However, please do not use this button if you just don't like the user.
Remember you can always use the block button or the "No thanks" button for people
you just don't like."
How do I send attatchements with my message?
The only attachement you can send are your
"private pictures".
No external file can be attached. If you did not upload any private picture, you can not
send attachements then. To upload private pictures, go to "
Profile" and then click on "
Pictures. This will open the pictures control page
where you can upload/delete public and private pictures. Once you upload at least one
private picture, you can start sending it/them as attachements. To do so,
check the "Attach private picture" box
at the end of your message".
How do I add members to my contact list?
If you like to add a member to your contact list, simply click on the
button
whenever it shows. That will add the member to your address book and contact list.
Also, you will be notified when friends on your favorite list are online if you
have your messenger open (check the messenger help
section)"
How can I view and control my favorites friends list?
You can have full control you over your friends list. Go to the
Contacts menu from the Main menu .
You will have a list of all your friends with the option to delete or contact anyone
from the list.
can I be notified of new messages while I'm online?
IYes you are always notified of incoming online messages. Keep and eye on header bar, that will indicate when you receive new meesages
or when new friends are online. Also you will hear a sound notification when you get new messages. .
What is a postcard message?
If you want to impress your recipient, you should go for a poscard instead of a regular
message. A poscard will allow you to send your message, with a nice picture of your choice
and according to your mood, along with a nice soft music in the background.

Can I save messages and attachements?
You can only save the text messages. Attachements ( private pictures )cannot be saved.
To access your saved messages, go to Main menu,
and the to the Mailbox menu and click on
"Saved " However you
cannot save as much messages as you want.
Check with your "Saved messages" inbox
to see how many messages you can save"
Can I have more storage space for my messages?
Yes you can. Ask the support about pricing for additional storage for your messages.

Controle your profile, pictures, settings....
How can I change my profile's details?
From the Main menu, go to
Profile and click on "
Edit profile" button.
This will open you your profile's details page where you can edit all aspect of your profile
(appearance, what you are looking for, hobbies...)
How can I upload, delete and edit my pictures?
From the Main menu, go to
Profile and click on "Pictures " button.
You can either upload/delete public pictures or private pictures.
What is the difference between public and private picture?
Public pictures are pictures that all members, or outside
visitors can view. They are posted on your profiles'page for public view .
These picture should not contain rated nudity. Private pictures are not shown to public or posted on your
profile's page. They can only be sent as attachements with messages to whoever you like
to share these pics with.
What if I don't want to post pictures?
Posting pictures is not obligatory. You are free to choose wether you want or not to
post public or private pictures. However, when you upload pictures you will get five
time more visitors to your page, plus you have additional daily
free messages as bonus! So why wait?
How can I decide how to interact with my account?
From the Main menu, go to
Profile and click on Settings.
You will check your current settings and decide what to change and what to keep.
You can control all aspect of your profile and the way you like to interact with your
account from the "Your settings" control panel.
- You can hide how many times your profile has been viewed from other members
- You can choose whether you want profiles in search results to open in a new window or not.
- You can choose to launch the messenger once you log on (recommended).
- You can activate the sound notification when you receive online messages and
choose from many sound notifications.
- You can choose to receive confirmations that messages you sent were read.
- You can choose whether you want other users to see that you have viewed their profile
when they use the "Spy on them" or not.
What is suspending an account?
By suspending your account, your profile will not be visible to other users, until you
reactivate it. It will not appear in search results. Your settings, descriptions and
pictures will be preserved till you reactivate your account.
This is useful if are traveling, or will not access your account for a long time. You can
still reactivate your account anytime by simply logging in again! To suspend your account,
go to Main menu, the to
Your profile and click on Suspend account.
You will be asked to enter you password for security reason. After doing so, your profile
will be suspended and you will be logged out, till the next time you log in again.
What if I want to remove my profile from MeetStrangers.com?
From the Main menu, go to
Your profile and click on
Delete Account . By deleting your account, you are removing for good your profile.
Your settings, descriptions and pictures are completely removed from our database.
Can I change my profile name (username)?
You cannot change your username by yourself. We can do that for you.
Simply send us a message request and we will do it for you.

How can I find members who are currently online?
To check who is online, click on the "Online"
icon from the Main menu. This will open a search page where you will be looking for
people who are currently online. Your search will be by countries.
How can I start a chat with online users?
You can only chat with online people, with online status. When you get the list of online people, clikc on the
button. This will open a chat pop-up box. Note that to chat with a member, both parties must have their messenger open.
What if I don't want other members to see me online?
You can change your online status from the header bar.
I want to appear Online, but don't want to receive chat invitation?
You can do that by changing to "Busy status"from the header bar.
When I click on the some buttons no pop-up windows appear?
If you have a pop-up blocker program running, like Goggle toolbar
or similar, it is probably blocking these pop-up windows and preventing them from appearing
(chat windows, send messages pop-up, add to favorites pop-up..). Try to disable the program and try again,
or check with the pop-up blocker manual to see how you can let pop-up windows get through..
I tried to send a message, but it keeps bouncing back to me?
If you are sending a member a message but it keeps bouncing back, this is because the member's
inbox is full. Wait for few days till the member clears up space and try again..
Can I create multiple profiles for myself?
It is not allowed to have multiple profiles on MeetStrangers. Duplicate profiles will be suspended...
My profiles does not appear in search results.Why?
Your profile will not appear in search results, in two cases:
1- Your profile was suspended: if that is the case,
everytime you log on, your member page will show you a "Declined profile"
message showing you why your profile was declined, and what you should od to get it
back online. You can contact the staff for more information.
2- You suspended your account, so other members
will not see your profile in their search. Once you log on again, your profile will be
activated again...
My email address is no longer active, and i forgot my password?
If your the email address you registered with is no longer active, and you need to retrieve
your password, contact our staff through any email address. We will ask for some information
regarding your previous registration and we will reset your password...
I blocked a member, but I received a message from his duplicated profile.
He keeps opening new profiles, what can I do?
Duplicate profiles are not allowed. If someone opens more than one profile with same information
and photos, please contact the staff and we will check the issue out. In the mean while,
keep using the

I am on someone's block list, I want to send him/her a message to apologyse.
What can I do? Can you contact him/her for me?
There is nothing you can do about it. If the user blocked you, you are not allowed to contact
him/her again, unless they unblock you
